Job summary

Outpace Consulting Services is seeking a Master Control - Media Operations specialist to manage end-to-end live playout, playlist management, and channel monitoring ensuring uninterrupted transmission across multiple platforms.

You will work with iTX, PlayBox, Harris, Dalet, Ateme, and Grass Valley systems, perform quality checks, support live events, and mentor junior staff to maintain high technical standards and SLA adherence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Master Control (Media Operations).
• Experience in live playout operations, playlist management, and channel monitoring.
• Proven ability in end-to-end channel operations.
• Expertise in As-Run log validation, break placement and SLA adherence.
• Experience in live event handling, escalation management and mentoring junior staff.
• Any Graduate.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Live Playout Operations across linear, OTT, FAST, and multi-region channels ensuring uninterrupted transmission and SLA adherence.
• Monitor and manage playlists, as-run logs, break placement, SCTE markers, and channel schedules across multiple broadcast platforms.
• Support live events and sports broadcasts, handling real-time escalations and ensuring seamless on-air delivery.
• Operate and monitor playout systems including iTX, PlayBox, Harris, Dalet, Ateme, and Grass Valley environments.
• Perform detailed Audio, Video, and Timed Text Quality Control checks including loudness, color space, sync, frame rate, and technical specification validation.
• Prepare and maintain professional QC reports, documenting technical anomalies, compliance issues, and corrective actions.
• Execute editorial updates including shot replacements, credit updates, and content corrections to meet delivery requirements.
• Perform audio loudness measurements and ensure compliance with client and regulatory standards.
• Create, validate, and manage Timed Text, Subtitle, Caption, and Accessibility assets for distribution.
• Receive, process, and distribute media assets through Aspera and cloud-based delivery platforms.
• Troubleshoot media issues and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to recommend and implement fixes.
• Manage media preparation workflows using cloud-based asset management systems and ensure asset readiness for delivery.
• Transcode and encode media assets using industry-standard tools and workflows while maintaining delivery specifications.
• Create and validate deliverables including DCP, IMF, ProRes, and Proxy files for broadcast and OTT distribution.
• Support HDR and SDR color workflows, monitor calibration activities, and ensure technical compliance.
• Validate media assets using industry-standard validation and metadata tools prior to final delivery.
• Utilize monitoring and observability tools such as Kibana, iVMS, and Elecard for proactive issue identification and resolution.
• Support customer audits, compliance reviews, reporting activities, and client communications.
• Mentor junior operators and provide operational guidance during critical broadcasts and escalations.
