Job summary

Asbri Energy in India seeks a Mechanical QA/QC professional to oversee quality planning, system management, and vendor audits for civil or process industry projects. Oil and gas exposure is advantageous for this role.

The candidate will inspect materials, witness joint testing, and manage NCRs, records, and handover files at project closures.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma with 3 years of experience in mechanical QA/QC.
• Experience in civil or process industry; oil and gas exposure is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other industrial standards.
• Ability to inspect materials, perform tests, and witness NDT/hydrostatic tests.

Responsibilities

• Quality planning and documentation as per project needs.
• System management to ensure work aligns with standards.
• Conduct vendor audits and supplier evaluations.
• Review process drawings and plans to prevent defects.
• Perform material inspection of metals, pipes, valves, fittings.
• Conduct site checks for equipment setup and alignment.
• Witness joint testing including welding, NDT, hydrostatic tests.
• Draft and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) when standards are not met.
• Prepare ITPs, record test logs, calibration sheets, and certificates.
• Compile handover data books for project closure.

Job description

• Quality planning: Writing quality manuals, method statements, and rules for projects.


• System management: Making sure company work matches ISO 9001 or other industrial rules.


• Vendor audits: Checking third-party suppliers and factories before buying parts.


• Process review: Looking at design drawings and plans to stop mistakes early.


• Material inspection: Testing incoming raw metals, pipes, valves, and fittings for flaws.


• Site checks: Inspecting mechanical equipment setup, leveling, and alignment.


• Joint testing: Witnessing welding tests, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and hydrostatic pressure tests.


• Issue tracking: Writing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) when work fails to meet standards.

Test plans: Following and signing off on Inspection Test Plans (ITP).

• Record keeping: Saving test logs, calibration sheets, and material certificates.


• Handover files: Preparing final data books for the client when the project ends


• Degree or Diploma with 3 years experience handling mechanical QA /QC profile for civil or any process industry. Oil and gas company experience would be an advantage
