Job description

Role & responsibilities

Finalizing the Drawings & Technical Specifications;

• Participating in all the design review meetings related to Plumbing & Firefighting


• Coordination with Principal Architect, In-house Architect, PHE Consultant & Structural Consultant for the drawing finalization


• Giving technical suggestion to the designer, Site Engineer & to the contractor


• Ensuring the GFC drawings are reaching to site as per Schedule targets.


• Preparing & Review of the detailed item wise BOQs for supply and services.


• Preparing the detailed cost estimation of HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Fighting


• Preparing the budget in coordination with QS based on the Drawings, Materials details & BOQ


• Delivering effective presentations about the design whenever required

Contract Management

• Review of Enquiry documents of Package & Services.


• Checking the supply and services terms & conditions properly.


• Checking Technical offer documents from the Vendors or suppliers terms & conditions.


• Checking the materials vendors terms & conditions


• Ensuring that there should not be any issues raised by the contractors against the terms & conditions during execution and no work should be held up.

Vendor Management

• Ensure Technical evaluation of Suppliers & vendors at Pre-bid stage.


• Checking the preliminary performance of the vendor.


• Keep meeting the contractor during site visit and discussing with them about the progress, execution issues and other issues


• Taking immediate action in case if the contractor/Supplier is making complaints /grievances. This is to maintain good relationship all the time


• Keep in touch with the alternative vendors in existing market


• Taking feedback from the site engineer about the contractor performance & Manpower


• Taking the feedback from the project head about Engineer/Contactor performance


• Ensuring the bill certifications are happening as per the work executed


• Ensuring the bills are process with proper supporting documents like JMR

Material Management

• Reviewing the Vendor Materials supplied against technical specifications.


• Change management - Changing the materials description as per site requirement if required


• Checking the material vendors detail if required


• Has to monitor whether the materials & Packages are being supplied in time


• Checking the material Quality periodically

Planning & Review Meeting

• Participate in all Project Review Meetings that involves discussions on progress, schedule, manpower issues


• Discuss & find solution for civil clearance for the MEP works


• Discuss with project management team about the current work status, and clearance available for MEP works


• Organize weekly progress review meeting with the subordinate and with the vendor


• Ensure proper documentation of all advice, minutes of meetings, or any other documents shared / received during the project planning or review meetings


• Regular review over the construction schedule & progress with regards to MEP services


• Has to update/discuss the progress/ issues related to work with the Management/reporting head

Site Coordination with Execution team

• Ensuring the day-to-day works are happening as per schedule


• Inspect the works executed periodically with the site engineer & contractor


• Ensure the works are executed as per standard practice and as per the design finalized


• Ensure the Fire Protection works are executed as per fire authority and compliance requirement.


• Discuss with the project head about the progress, schedule on weekly basis


• Ensure that the utilities like water & STP is ready for customer handing over


• Make proper documentation while handing over the electromechanical equipment


• Has to guide the team to coordinate between the purchase team & the supplier

MIS / Reports Preparation

• Prepare the progress report for the monthly progress review meeting


• Prepare the day-to-day progress chart in coordination with the concerned site engineer


• Submit all the required documents during FIRE & PCB inspection
