Job summary

Stantec in Pune, India, is seeking a Mechanical / Piping 3D Designer to contribute to Oil & Gas, Power, Food and Industrial plant projects.

You will deliver complete mechanical detail drawings, equipment and piping modeling, 3D plant layout, and piping isometrics, with a focus on clash-free designs. You will collaborate with discipline leads to meet client requirements and ensure quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Experience as 3D mechanical/piping designer for industrial plants.
• Knowledge of pipe fittings, components and materials.
• Ability to visualize and produce clash-free 3D models.

Responsibilities

• Review the input from clients and understand the scope of work, planning tasks without changing design intent.
• Preparation of Equipment modeling, Piping modeling, 3D Plant Layout, General arrangement drawings, Pipe support etc.
• Coordinate with discipline Lead concerning project requirements and with other discipline designers.
• Candidate should be able to visualize and produce clash free 3D model using Navisworks (and similar software tools).

Stantec is looking for Mechanical / Piping 3D Designer with expertise in Oil & GAS, Power, Food, Industrial Plant Projects based in the Pune, India office.

The Mechanical / Piping Designer role conducts and supports the delivery of complete mechanical detail design drawings.

Key Accountabilities

• Review the input received from clients and understand the scope of work and then plan work accordingly without changing design intent.
• Preparation of Equipment modeling, Piping modeling, 3D Plant Layout, General arrangement drawings, Pipe support etc.
• Good understanding of Pipe fittings, components, and Pipe materials
• Proficient in drawings extraction for Isometric and layout drawings
• Knowledge of P&ID and PFDS for Piping routine / modeling
• To be able to understand end-client design and drafting systems and standards implement in work.
• Coordination with other disciplines designers and engineers as applicable.
• Coordinate with discipline Lead concerning project requirements.
• Candidate should be able to visualize and produce clash free 3D model using Navisworks (and similar software tools)
• Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently.
