Responsibilities

• Prepare design basis, load cases, wind and seismic calculations and documentation.
• Evaluate piping flexibility and layout across project stages.
• Provide MTO and cost inputs for project estimates.
• Coordinate with design teams and discipline interfaces.

Job description

Design & Detailed Engineering of Plant Piping

Key Role & Responsibilities

Preparation of Design Basis, Load cases, Critical line list, Wind and Seismic related calculation and documentation.

Independent evaluation of piping flexibility and layout requirements across each stage of the project.

Piping supports design by evaluating forces, moments, and displacements.

Knowledge of performing Flange leakage check, Nozzle loading evaluation, and frequency check using modal, wind, and seismic analysis.

Well versed in Jacketed piping design, selection of spring support, bellows, WRC check, SPS, and underground piping engineering.

Knowledge of Datasheets preparation for various specialities like springs, expansion joints, etc.

Technical report preparation and documentation.

Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, API, IBR, and other applicable codes.

Coordination of Engineering and Design activities with other disciplines.

Provide material take-off (MTO) and costs for project estimates.

Provide final checking, approval, and stamping of all design deliverables associated with piping.

Proficient in 3D design review tools like Navisworks.
