Job summary

Golden Opportunities seeks a Head of Mechanical Engineering in Delhi NCR to lead mechanical design and product development from concept to production. The role requires 18+ years in mechanical engineering and a proven track record guiding teams through complex projects and platform upgrades.

You will collaborate with CEO and senior executives, manage multiple projects, improve manufacturability, and drive cost, weight, and quality optimizations across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and product development.
• Experience leading mechanical engineering teams and managing projects.
• Ownership from concept through production.
• Exposure to full lifecycle: Concept → Design → CAE → Prototype → Testing/Validation → Production/SOP.

• Strong mechanical design and product development experience.
• Experience leading mechanical engineering teams and complex projects.

• Experience with both existing product improvements and new/Greenfield product development.
• Exposure to the complete product lifecycle: Concept → Design → CAE → Prototype → Testing/Validation → Production/SOP.
• Experience with platform development, major product upgrades or new product introduction.
• Experience working directly with CEO or senior leadership and ability to present technical concepts, risks, timelines, costs and recommendations to senior management.
• Ownership of multiple projects covering timelines, resources, cost, quality and technical risks.
• Ability to prioritize short-term business requirements while driving long-term product development.
• Strong collaboration with R&D, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain and Suppliers.
• Hands-on understanding of DFM/DFA, tooling, fixtures and manufacturing processes & Experience taking products from prototype to production/SOP and resolving production-related engineering issues.
• Experience in cost reduction, weight optimization, reliability, quality and design improvement.
• Experience managing suppliers, engineering partners and consultants.
• Experience building and managing engineering teams and ability to define technical ownership, review engineering work and mentor/develop engineers.
