Qualifications

• 1–4 years of hands-on experience in the automotive industry, with truck domain experience advantageous.
• Proficient in Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal, casting, and manufacturing processes.
• In-depth knowledge of exhaust systems.
• Able to design and manage large assemblies with top-down and bottom-up approaches.
• Excellent understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and development of exhaust systems.
• Develop robust sheet metal and casting designs with fabrication and manufacturing considerations.
• Create detailed engineering drawings with GD&T and BOMs.
• Perform vehicle packaging, system integration, and interface management across subsystems.
• Participate in concept and design reviews with lead and division engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, locally and globally, to ensure design alignment and manufacturability.

PACCAR India is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join its dynamic Pune team, specializing in the design and development of various truck components, including conceptual sheet metal brackets, casting components and exhaust systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the design and development of exhaust systems.


• Develop robust sheet metal, and casting designs with a strong understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes.


• Create detailed engineering drawings, including GD&T, BOMs, and adherence to engineering standards.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Automotive or Production Engineering
