Job summary

BHARATHAPP TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED in IIT Hyderabad, Sangareddy, Telangana invites a hands-on Mechanical Engineer with 2-3 years experience in product design, 3D CAD modelling, prototyping and 3D printing to join our R&D team.

You will design components, create CAD models, iterate designs for rapid prototyping, work with 3D printers, document results, and collaborate across disciplines on real-world projects.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in product design, mechanical design, prototyping, and/or 3D printing.
• M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant specialization may be considered.

Mechanical Engineer Product Design & 3D Printing

Industry: Research & Development (R&D)

Location: IIT Hyderabad, Kandi, Sangareddy, Telangana

Experience: 2-3 Years

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience or strong academic exposure in Product Design, 3D CAD Modelling, Prototyping, and 3D Printing to join our R&D team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and products for R&D projects.
• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Work on product development from concept to prototype.
• Develop designs suitable for 3D printing and rapid prototyping.
• Work with 3D printers and improve designs based on prototype testing.
• Perform design iterations, modifications, and optimization.
• Select suitable materials and manufacturing processes.
• Conduct prototype testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary R&D teams.
• Maintain proper documentation of designs, prototypes, revisions, and test results.
• Contribute to innovative product development and R&D projects.

Educational Qualification & Experience

Candidates should meet either of the following criteria:

Option 1 Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in product design, mechanical design, prototyping, and/or 3D printing.

OR

Option 2 - M.Tech

• M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant specialization.
• Candidates with strong academic/project experience in product design, CAD, prototyping, or 3D printing may be considered.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and product design.
• Proficiency in any 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Fusion 360, or similar.
• Practical knowledge of 3D printing and rapid prototyping.
• Understanding of engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and basic GD&T.
• Basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to convert concepts into practical mechanical designs.
• Strong interest in R&D and new product development.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience in product development.
• Experience with FDM, SLA, or other 3D printing technologies.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
• Experience in prototype testing and design improvement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary R&D team.
