Jindal Projects and Engineers invites a young, technically inclined Mechanical Engineer to join the Engineering/Projects team in Raigarh. The role targets 2026 pass-out graduates and also welcomes candidates with up to 1–2 years of relevant experience, to work on engineering, design, documentation and project execution.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, read drawings, assist in drawing revisions, and support site coordination while learning company standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

1. Position Summary

Jindal Projects and Engineers is looking for a young and technically motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering / Projects team.

The position is suitable for 2026 pass-out Mechanical Engineering graduates who are looking to begin their career in a professional engineering and project environment. Candidates with 12 years of relevant experience will also be considered and given preference.

The selected candidate will work closely with senior engineers and project teams and will be involved in engineering, design, documentation, project execution, coordination and technical support activities.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Engineering & Technical Support

• Assist senior engineers in day-to-day engineering activities.
• Understand project requirements, technical specifications and engineering drawings.
• Assist in preparation and review of mechanical drawings, layouts and technical documents.
• Support engineering calculations and preparation of technical data.
• Assist in equipment selection and preparation of technical specifications as required.
• Develop practical understanding of mechanical systems, equipment and project execution.

B. Design & Drawing

• Assist in preparing and modifying mechanical drawings and layouts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Coordinate with design and engineering teams for drawing revisions.
• Ensure drawings and technical documents are maintained properly.
• Learn and apply relevant engineering standards and specifications.

C. Project Execution & Coordination

• Support project engineers in execution and monitoring of assigned activities.
• Coordinate with site, production, fabrication, procurement and other departments as required.
• Assist in tracking project activities, material requirements and technical issues.
• Participate in site visits and inspections whenever required.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of basic mechanical issues.

D. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare technical reports, checklists, schedules and project-related documents.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, specifications and engineering documents.
• Assist in preparation of daily/weekly/monthly project reports.
• Ensure timely submission of assigned engineering deliverables.

E. Quality & Safety

• Follow company quality procedures, engineering practices and safety requirements.
• Assist in inspection and quality-related activities.
• Ensure engineering work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications and applicable standards.
• Report technical or quality issues to the concerned senior engineer.

F. Learning & Development

• Continuously develop knowledge of mechanical engineering, project execution and industry practices.
• Learn relevant software, engineering standards and company procedures.
• Work under the guidance of senior engineers and progressively take responsibility for assigned tasks.

3. Educational Qualification

Essential:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Candidates graduating in 2026 will be preferred.
• Candidates should have a strong foundation in core Mechanical Engineering subjects.

Preferred:

• Diploma / additional technical certification in mechanical engineering.
• Candidates with relevant internships, industrial training or project experience.

4. Experience

• Freshers – 2026 pass-outs are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, design, projects, manufacturing, fabrication, EPC or related industries will be appreciated.
• Relevant internship / industrial training experience will be an added advantage for freshers.

5. Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD will be preferred.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
• Understanding of engineering standards, measurements and basic calculations.
