Job summary

RAMA PHOSPHATES LTD in Dhule (Nardana) is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Maintenance team. You will plan, execute, and improve mechanical processes, equipment, and systems to support safe, efficient production and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include production support, preventive maintenance, equipment installation and commissioning, drawing reviews, and collaboration with Production, Quality, Stores, and Purchase departments to drive uptime and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• B.E Mechanical required.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance/mechanical engineering within manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Production & Process Support: Support day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production targets.
• Equipment & Maintenance: Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment; prepare preventive maintenance schedules; troubleshoot breakdowns.

Objectives

• To plan, execute, and improve mechanical processes, equipment, and systems in a manufacturing environment to ensure efficient production, optimal equipment performance, safety compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Production & Process Support
• Support day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production targets
• Optimize mechanical processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Equipment & Maintenance
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and overhauls.

Design & Engineering

• Review mechanical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
• Support design modifications to improve machine efficiency and safety.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment selection and technical discussions.
• Quality & Safety
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and SOPs.
• Follow statutory and safety norms (Factory Act, ISO, 5S, TPM).
• Participate in audits and safety inspections.Promote safe work practices on the shop floor.
• Cost Control & Documentation
• Assist in cost reduction and energy-saving initiatives.
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and maintenance records.
• Maintain equipment history and breakdown reports.
• Support CAPEX planning and execution.
• Coordination & Reporting
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, and Purchase departments.
• Prepare MIS reports related to production efficiency, downtime, and maintenance.
• Train operators and technicians on equipment handling and safety.
