Ashkom is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead and manage mechanical projects in an industrial/manufacturing environment. The role covers equipment installation, commissioning, utilities, and maintenance with a focus on safety and quality.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong knowledge of P&IDs, BOQs, and engineering drawings, and able to coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to meet timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in mechanical project execution and commissioning.

• Experience with process machinery, piping, pumps, boilers, and conveyors.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute mechanical projects from concept to commissioning within defined timelines and budgets.
• Supervise installation and commissioning of process equipment and utilities.
• Review drawings, layouts, P&IDs, BOQs, and technical specs.
• Manage plant utilities, infrastructure development, and equipment integration.
• Implement preventive maintenance and RCA for equipment failures.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors and internal teams.
• Control project budgets, materials, spare parts, and costs.
• Ensure EHS standards, PTW, LOTO and quality requirements.

Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to manage mechanical projects, equipment installation, commissioning, utilities, and maintenance activities in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute mechanical projects from concept to commissioning within defined timelines and budgets.
• Supervise installation and commissioning of process machinery, piping, pumps, compressors, boilers, HVAC, conveyors, and utility systems.
• Review engineering drawings, layouts, P&IDs, BOQs, and technical specifications.
• Manage plant utilities, infrastructure development, and equipment integration.
• Implement preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment failures, and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Manage project budgets, material requirements, spare parts, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards, PTW, LOTO, and quality requirements.
• Maintain project documentation, progress reports, and commissioning records.
