Job summary

Placenest Services Private Limited is seeking a proactive Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing operations. You will perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime across plant machinery and utility systems.

The role requires at least 2 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or related industries, with BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.
• Exposure to both mechanical and electrical maintenance preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, packaging, chemicals, or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Monitor motors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, electrical panels, and utility equipment.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new machines.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor DG sets, air compressors, HVAC, and electrical distribution systems.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive cost reduction, energy-saving, and process improvement projects.
