Job summary

AKAS Infusions in Tamil Nadu is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineering graduate to support prototype assembly, testing, and tooling development. You will assist in validation, measurements, and documentation while coordinating with R&D, Production, Quality, and vendors.

Freshers are encouraged to apply; internship or academic project experience in mechanical/product development will be valued. Training on DFM/DFA and manufacturing processes will be provided in a practical R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
• Good understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper and Micrometer.
• Basic understanding of moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures, and tooling is an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Hands-on interest in mechanical assembly, testing, and product development.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a practical R&D environment.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD / Creo / SolidWorks will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support prototype assembly and fitment checks of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Assist in product testing, functional validation, and performance evaluation.
• Support mechanical troubleshooting and identification of product-related issues.
• Assist in tooling development, tool trials, and validation.
• Coordinate with tool vendors for development samples, moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Support prototype and sample development activities with vendors.
• Assist in inspection and dimensional verification using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and other measuring instruments.
• Read and understand basic engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
• Support product trials, pilot production, and development activities.
• Provide technical observations and feedback during prototype and tooling trials.
• Coordinate with R&D, Production, Quality, Purchase, Tool Room, and vendor teams.
• Prepare basic test reports, inspection reports, trial reports, and development documentation.
• Support continuous improvement and product development activities.
• Learn and develop knowledge of DFM/DFA, tooling, manufacturing processes, and product validation.
