Job summary

Archadeliê Mumbai seeks a Mechanical Designer to design and plan HVAC, Fire Fighting and Plumbing systems for Commercial, Retail and F&B projects globally. You will produce 2D drawings, 3D models, and BIM compliant documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM 360, coordinating with other design disciplines.

The role requires strong mechanical engineering knowledge, code awareness, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in Mechanical Design and Engineering.
• Ability to analyze and understand complex mechanical systems and components.
• Knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate them into technical documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD / Revit, with an advanced level.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and design mechanical engineering systems for Commercial, Retail, F&B projects.
• Execute day-to-day HVAC, Fire Fighting and Plumbing design tasks for assigned projects.
• Develop 2D drawings & 3D models including Technical Due Diligence, Design Basis Report, HLC, HVAC, Fire Fighting & Plumbing Layouts with High/Low Side designs using AutoCAD, REVIT and related software.
• Work on AutoCAD, ACC, BIM 360 and maintain BIM standards and library of BIM objects.
• Collaborate with Architectural Design, MEP team and stakeholders to develop a clash-free system design.
• Self-review plans and specifications for accuracy, code compliance, and constructability.
• Develop solutions to design problems following established global standards.
• Coordinate with Architectural Professionals to ensure documentation continuity and accuracy.
• Assist the team to meet aggressive project schedules.

This is a full-time role for a Mechanical Designer in the Mumbai office, who will be responsible for designing & planning HVAC, Fire Fighting & Plumbing systems, creating layouts, schematics, construction documentation drawings, and coordinating with other design disciplines and producing functional reports for multiple prestigious Commercial, Retail, F&B projects across the globe.

• Responsible for planning , coordinating, and designing mechanical engineering systems for Commercial, Retail, F&B projects .
• Execute day-to-day tasks related to HVAC, Fire Fighting and Plumbing design for the assigned projects.
• Responsible for the development of 2D drawings & 3D models of various HVAC, Fire Fighting and Plumbing systems as required for the assigned project including but not limited to Technical Due Diligence, Design Basis Report, HLC, HVAC, Fire Fighting & Plumbing Layout with High Side and Low Side Designs, using AutoCAD, REVIT and other relevant software.
• Ability to work on AutoCAD, ACC, BIM 360 & maintain BIM standards and library of BIM objects.
• Collaborate and coordinate with Architectural Design, MEP team, and other stakeholders to develop a clash-free system design.
• Self-Review plans and specifications for technical accuracy, code compliance, and constructability.
• Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established global standards.
• Coordinate with Architectural Professionals on projects to ensure continuity and consistency of documentation including organization, coordination, thoroughness, and accuracy of all documents in the drawing set.
• Work closely with the team and assist in the completion of projects on aggressive schedules.
