Job summary

B Arm Medical Technologies is seeking an engineer to support the design and development of plastic and mechanical components, tooling, molds, and manufacturing solutions. You will create 3D models and 2D drawings and assist with mold development, coordinating with manufacturing teams to implement design improvements based on production feedback.

The role requires applying design standards, maintaining documentation, and performing basic tolerance studies and fit checks.

Qualifications

• Assist in designing plastic and mechanical components per product requirements.
• Create 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings using Creo, NX, and SolidWorks.
• Support the design and development of injection molds, dies, and related tooling.
• Understand product specifications and convert them into practical designs with appropriate tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of plastic and mechanical components, tooling, molds, and manufacturing solutions.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings, and perform basic design calculations and tolerance studies.
• Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
• Maintain design documentation, revision records, BOMs, and drawing data.
• Make design modifications based on trial results and manufacturing feedback.

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the design and development of plastic and mechanical components, tooling, molds, and manufacturing solutions. The role involves creating 3D models and 2D drawings, performing basic design and tolerance studies, supporting mold development, coordinating with manufacturing teams, and implementing design improvements based on production and quality feedback.

Preferred candidate profile

• Assist in designing and developing plastic and mechanical components based on product requirements.
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using software such as Creo, NX, and SolidWorks.
• Support the design and development of injection molds, dies, and related tooling.
• Understand product specifications, engineering drawings, and requirements and convert them into practical designs.
• Perform basic design calculations, tolerance studies, and fitment checks.
• Prepare detailed part, assembly, and mold drawings with appropriate dimensions and tolerances.
• Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
• Make design modifications based on trial results, manufacturing feedback, and quality requirements.
• Maintain design documentation, revision records, BOMs, and drawing data.
