Mechanical Design Engineer

Job summary

RGBSI is seeking a skilled engineer in Pune to design and modify assemblies using NX/CREO, create BOMs, and manage engineering changes. You will collaborate with product development to optimize concepts and produce detailed drawings for sheet metal and machined parts.

The role requires strong knowledge of PLM systems, SAP, and mechanical hardware selection, with hands-on experience in sheet metal and machining processes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in 3D CAD Modeling and Assembly Management using NX/CREO.
• Experience with BOM Management using PLM tools.
• Knowledge of Engineering Change Management, SAP and PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Recommend engineering solutions for simple to mid-complex problem reports.
• Create CAD assemblies and BOMs for design changes and modifications.
• Implement engineering changes through Change Orders.
• Collaborate with Product Development Engineers on concept designs and design enhancements.
• Create and review drawings for sheet metal parts, machined components, welded structures, and complex assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recommend engineering solutions for simple to medium-complex problem reports.
• Create CAD assemblies and BOMs for design changes and modifications.
• Implement engineering changes through Change Orders.
• Collaborate with Product Development Engineers on concept designs and design enhancements.
• Create and review drawings for sheet metal parts, machined components, welded structures, and complex assemblies.
• Develop assembly procedures, test procedures, and rework instructions.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficiency in 3D CAD Modeling and Assembly Management using NX / CREO
• Experience in BOM Management using PLM tools.
• Knowledge of Engineering Change Management, SAP, and PLM systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering design methods and processes.
• Exposure to manufacturing process (Sheet Metal and Machining)
• Knowledge of mechanical hardware, fasteners, and OEM component selection.
