Job summary

Canvendor is seeking a Design & Development Engineer in Pune, India, to lead end-to-end development of fuel system components. You will design, draw, validate, and release components while collaborating with global engineering teams.

The role requires strong Creo skills, GD&T expertise, and experience in DFMEA and change management. Candidate will work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to meet timelines and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Design and development of fuel system components based on function, manufacturing, reliability and cost.
• Experience interpreting and creating engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Strong knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis and fits & clearances.
• Proficiency with Creo-based 3D modeling and 2D drawings.
• Familiarity with PLM and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop fuel system components per requirements and constraints.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and drawings using Creo.
• Develop, review and release engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis, fits & clearances evaluation, datum schemes, and validation.
• Define materials, surface finishes, and engineering specifications.
• Conduct DQR, DFMEA activities, and engineering change management.
• Support prototype builds, validation testing, RCA, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers, sourcing, manufacturing, and global teams.
• Drive engineering actions to closure within timelines and quality standards.

We are looking for a talented Design & Development Engineer with strong experience in Mechanical Design, Creo, Engineering Drawings, GD&T, and Product Development to join our engineering team. The role involves the end-to-end development of fuel system components, including design, drawing release, prototype support, validation, and collaboration with global engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop fuel system components based on functional, manufacturing, reliability, and cost requirements.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models, component drawings, and assembly drawings using Creo.
• Develop, review, and release engineering drawings with proper application of GD&T.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analysis, fits & clearances evaluation, datum scheme definition, and dimensional validation.
• Define materials, surface finishes, and engineering specifications.
• Conduct design reviews (DQR), DFMEA activities, and engineering change management.
• Support prototype builds, validation testing, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions.
• Work closely with suppliers, sourcing teams, manufacturing teams, and global engineering stakeholders.
• Drive engineering actions to closure while ensuring program timelines and quality standards are met.
