Job summary

Jobtailor in Chennai, India seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design crane systems, lifting equipment, and related mechanical components. You will independently prioritize and manage pre-order and post-order engineering tasks for customer projects.

You will create 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Autodesk Inventor, prepare BOMs, enter data into Teamcenter and SAP, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar mechanical design role.
• Experience with parametric CAD tools: AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of Teamcenter (Siemens) and SAP, or any other ERP.
• Understanding of technical calculations and engineering fundamentals.
• English proficiency required; bilingual capability stated.
• Strong creativity, cooperation, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Adaptability to changing project needs.
• Ability to work in a global, remote team environment.
• Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
