Job summary

Anlage Infotech (India) P Ltd in Bengaluru seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to design and develop mechanical systems meeting quality and performance standards. You will work with CAD tools (Creo as primary; SolidWorks a plus), create detailed 3D models and drawings, and collaborate with hardware and layout teams to integrate mechanical with electronics.

Responsibilities include thermal management, enclosure design, DFMA, design reviews, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (Creo as primary; SolidWorks a plus).
• Experience in thermal management and enclosure design.
• DFM/DFA principles applied to designs.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with hardware, layout and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Design & Development
• Design, develop, and improve mechanical components and systems using CAD tools (Creo as primary; SolidWorks knowledge is an added advantage).
• Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings to support manufacturing and assembly.
• ECAD/MCAD Collaboration
• Work closely with hardware and layout teams to define component placements and establish PCBA design constraints.
• Ensure seamless integration between mechanical and electronic design domains.
• Thermal Management
• Select appropriate heatsinks, heat pipes, and thermal interface materials for high-power components on PCBAs.
• Support preliminary thermal simulations to validate heat dissipation and reliability.
• Enclosure & Packaging Design
• Design machined and sheet-metal enclosures for complex PCBA assemblies, considering structural, thermal, and manufacturability aspects.
• Incorporate DFM/DFA principles into all designs.
• Cross-functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with layout, hardware, manufacturing, and reliability teams to gather requirements and provide optimized design solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Work with IDF files like EMN/EMP and validate component placements on PCB.
• Validation & Compliance
• Conduct simulations (structural/thermal) and support physical testing to validate design performance.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (IPC, JEDEC, or customer-specific requirements).
• Documentation & Reporting
• Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including specifications, BOMs, reports, and design review materials.
• Track design changes through proper change-control processes (ECR/ECO).
• Issue Resolution & Support
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during development, prototyping, and production phases.
• Provide timely engineering support to manufacturing and quality teams.
• Project & Innovation
• Contribute to project planning activities, including effort estimation, timelines, and resource planning.
• Stay updated with emerging industry trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation in electronic packaging solutions..
