Job summary

Cadmaxx is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer based in Bangalore. The role involves managing industrial processes, developing robotic solutions, and preparing CAD drawings.

The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in factory automation and robotics applications, along with expertise in 3D design software like Solidworks. This is a contract position of 1 year, extendable via third-party payroll.

Job description

Location: Whitefield, Bangalore

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Managing industrial processes & robotic application automation projects as assigned
2. Developing 3D concept for a robotic simulation and interacting with customers to get project input details
3. Preparing detail 2D drawings using Solidworks / Auto Cad for the robotics applications and preparing 3D models using CAD software
4. Performing design calculation if required and assigning work and managing performance of the team and coaching them on a regular basis
5. Communicating periodically with all stakeholders and sharing details in a candid manner
6. Supporting to achieve organization and program KPIs
7. Performing other activities as requested

Skills & Competencies

1. Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in either a consulting engineering firm or an operating engineering environment and sound knowledge of Factory Automation, SPMs, Robotics Applications
2. Should be capable to evolve, develop and implement the best suitable robotic solution for the manufacturing industry
3. Experience in designing using 3D software like Solidworks, Catia V5, NX, Inventor, Creo
4. Experience working with simulation software like Robot Studio, RobCad etc. will be an added advantage. Experience in the use and implementation of PDM/PLM software such as Windchill, Autodesk Vault and EPDM
5. Exposure to Robotics Automation, Automotive industry, and general industry would be an added advantage

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering or Equivalent.
