Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Assembly & Integration
- Assemble and integrate robotic automation machines, SPMs, fixtures, conveyors, guarding, and mechanical sub-assemblies.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs, and fabrication drawings.
- Ensure correct assembly sequence, fitment, alignment, and fastening.
Robotics Integration
- Support mechanical integration of industrial robots, robot bases, linear tracks, positioners, grippers, EOAT, conveyors, and peripheral equipment.
- Assist in robot-cell installation and mechanical commissioning.
- Coordinate with robot programmers, PLC engineers, and electrical teams during integration.
Jigs & Fixtures
- Assembly and installation of jigs, fixtures, welding fixtures, locating systems, clamps, grippers, and tooling.
- Check fixture alignment, repeatability, clamping, locating, and accessibility.
- Support fixture trials and modifications based on production requirements.
Rework & Modification
- Identify assembly and integration issues and carry out necessary mechanical rework and modifications.
- Perform drilling, tapping, slotting, shimming, alignment, grinding, and other shop-floor correction activities as required.
- Implement design changes and modifications during machine build and commissioning.
Alignment & Commissioning
- Perform alignment of shafts, bearings, linear guides, conveyors, fixtures, robots, and mechanical assemblies.
- Check machine movement, interference, clearances, and mechanical functionality.
- Support machine trials, FAT, SAT, and customer-site commissioning.
Troubleshooting
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues such as vibration, misalignment, interference, excessive play, improper movement, and component failure.
- Work with design and engineering teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Documentation & Quality
- Follow assembly drawings, checklists, quality requirements, and project procedures.
- Record assembly issues, modifications, rework, and punch points.
- Ensure completed assemblies meet drawing and project specifications.

Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with experience in: Robotics & Automation | SPM | Industrial Automation | Machine Building | Automotive Automation | Welding Automation | Assembly Automation | Jigs & Fixtures | Material Handling will be preferred.
Candidate Profile
- Experience working with robotic automation equipment and industrial machinery preferred.
- Should be comfortable working on the shop floor and at customer sites.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional Design, Robotics, PLC, Electrical, Production and Project teams.
- Willingness to travel for installation and commissioning.
Key Requirement
This is a hands-on mechanical integration role. Candidates should have practical experience in machine assembly, robotics/automation integration, jigs & fixtures, alignment, rework, modification, and commissioning.
