Role Summary

The Marine Operations Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all marine operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of offshore and onshore marine activities. The role acts as the focal point between marine vessels, logistics, port authorities, offshore installations, and internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth daily operations and compliance with company and international maritime standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily marine operations including vessel scheduling, port clearances, and offshore logistics.
• Monitor vessel performance, ensure adherence to marine safety and environmental regulations (ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS).
• Liaise with port authorities, charterers, and offshore teams for permits, berthing, and cargo transfer operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and participate in marine safety audits and inspections.
• Support emergency response and incident investigation processes.
• Maintain and update vessel documentation, certifications, and compliance records.
• Track marine expenses and support budget planning for operations.
• Ensure timely communication and coordination between marine contractors, supply bases, and offshore units.
• Participate in vessel pre-hire inspections and assurance checks.
• Support the implementation of the company’s marine assurance and competency frameworks.

Education & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, Nautical Science, Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related discipline.

Valid STCW certification or equivalent (optional but advantageous).

Offshore survival and safety certification (BOSIET/FOET) preferred.

Understanding of international maritime conventions (ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS, ISPS).

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marine operations, shipping, or offshore logistics.
