Appsierra Group in Hyderabad seeks a Manufacturing Functional Consultant to bridge manufacturing operations and ERP implementation teams. You will map current processes, identify gaps, and translate requirements into ERP specifications focused on sound production and controls.
The role emphasizes understanding shop-floor operations, leading or shaping end-to-end ERP initiatives, and delivering AS-IS and TO-BE process maps with robust BRDs and UAT scenarios.
Designation: Manufacturing Functional Consultant – ERP & Process Transformation
Function: Business Transformation / ERP
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana
Engagement: Full-time / Contract / Consulting engagement
Experience: 8+ years preferred
Reporting to: Project Lead – Business Transformation / Management
The Manufacturing Functional Consultant will act as the bridge between Rachamallu's manufacturing operations and the ERP implementation team.
The role is not primarily a software-development position. The consultant will understand how the business currently operates, identify process gaps, define improved future-state processes and translate manufacturing requirements into clear functional requirements for ERP implementation.
The objective is to ensure that the ERP is designed around sound manufacturing processes and business controls, rather than simply digitising existing practices.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, ERP functional consulting, business process improvement or manufacturing transformation.
Strong understanding of real manufacturing processes, preferably from engineering, forging, foundry, machining, automotive, aerospace, heavy engineering or discrete manufacturing.
Experience participating in or leading at least one end-to-end manufacturing ERP implementation.
Strong understanding of Production Planning & Control, MRP, inventory, procurement, production, quality and costing workflows.
Ability to understand shop-floor operations and translate them into structured ERP requirements.
Experience with process mapping, gap analysis, BRD/FRS preparation and UAT.
Understanding of manufacturing master data including item masters, BOMs, routings, work centres and process parameters.
Knowledge of traceability and quality-controlled manufacturing environments would be highly desirable.
Experience with ERP platforms is valuable, but the candidate should be ERP-platform agnostic.
SQL/database understanding would be advantageous but is not the primary requirement.
Strong analytical, documentation, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills.
We are specifically looking for someone who understands manufacturing first and ERP second. The right candidate should be able to walk through the plant, understand how an order moves from enquiry through planning, material, production, inspection and dispatch, identify where the process is weak, and then translate the improved process into ERP requirements. This is not an ERP sales role and not primarily a software-development role. The consultant should remain sufficiently independent to challenge both the ERP vendor and internal teams when a proposed process or customisation does not make operational sense.
The consultant will be expected to help deliver AS-IS and TO-BE process maps, gap analysis, ERP functional requirements/BRDs, manufacturing master-data structure, workflow and approval matrices, module-wise functional requirements, UAT scenarios and acceptance criteria, ERP gap/customisation tracker, implementation readiness assessment, and post-go-live improvement recommendations
