Job summary

Birlasoft in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a detail-oriented UFT Manual Tester with 6+ years of software testing experience. You will analyze requirements, design tests, execute functional and UAT tests, and drive defect tracking across environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software testing experience with UFT automation.
• Hands-on in Functional/Regression/UAT testing and test data design.
• Experience using defect-tracking tools (JIRA/Azure DevOps/ALM/Quality Center).
• Understanding of STLC and Defect Life Cycle; basic SQL knowledge.
• Collaborates with stakeholders and participates in Agile ceremonies.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented UFT Manual Tester with 6+ years of experience in software testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories. Create and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
• Perform Functional, Integration, System, Regression, Smoke, and UAT testing. Execute existing UFT automated test scripts and analyze results.
• Validate application behavior across various environments. Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Prepare test execution reports and provide status updates. Support production validation and post-release testing activities.
• Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices.
• 3–4 years of experience in Manual Testing. Good understanding of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and Defect Life Cycle.
• Experience in Functional, Regression, System, Integration, and UAT Testing. Hands-on experience in preparing Test Cases, Test Scenarios, and Test Data.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools such as:
  • JIRA / Azure DevOps / ALM/Quality Center
• Experience executing UFT test suites and analyzing execution results. Good understanding of test management processes and documentation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
