Job summary

Birlasoft in Bengaluru seeks a detail-oriented Manual Testing Technical Lead with 6+ years of software testing experience to guide testing efforts across projects. Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software testing.
• Strong knowledge of STLC and Defect Life Cycle.
• Experience in Functional, Regression, System, Integration and UAT testing.
• Hands-on test case, scenario, and test data preparation.
• Experience with UFT automated testing and script execution.
• SQL knowledge for data validation.
• Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA/Azure DevOps/ALM/Quality Center.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-orientedUFT Manual Tester with 6+ years of experience in software testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.Create and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
• Perform Functional, Integration, System, Regression, Smoke, and UAT testing.Execute existing UFT automated test scripts and analyze results.
• Validate application behavior across various environments.Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Prepare test execution reports and provide status updates.Support production validation and post-release testing activities.
• Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and best practices.
• 3–4 years of experience in Manual Testing. Good understanding of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and Defect Life Cycle.
• Experience in Functional, Regression, System, Integration, and UAT Testing.Hands-on experience in preparing Test Cases, Test Scenarios, and Test Data.
• Knowledge of defect tracking tools such as:
• JIRA /Azure DevOps /ALM/Quality Center
• Experience executing UFT test suites and analyzing execution results.Good understanding of test management processes and documentation.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
