Job summary

Tekskills Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester with extensive hands-on experience to ensure the quality of our applications.

You will design tests, execute them across functional, regression, and integration scopes, and document results and defects for timely resolution. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC, test case design, and practical experience with JIRA or Azure DevOps in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in test case design, execution, and defect reporting.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

• We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications.
• The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in test case design, execution, defect reporting, and a strong understanding of software testing fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Execute test cases and ensure test coverage across the application.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and QA leads to ensure timely bug resolution.
• Participate in test planning, review meetings, and sprint activities (Agile/Scrum).
• Perform sanity and smoke testing on new builds.
• Validate UI/UX alignment with requirements.
• Prepare test reports and maintain documentation.
• Ensure adherence to testing best practices and quality standards.

Required Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in manual functional testing.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience writing clear and concise test cases.
• Good understanding of bug lifecycle and test methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, QC, etc.).
• Basic understanding of database testing (SQL queries).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good to have exposure to API testing (Postman).
• Knowledge of automation basics (Selenium).
• Experience with mobile or web testing.
• Understanding of version control tools like Git.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
