Job summary

ZEISS VisioGen is seeking a hands-on Manual QA Lead who can also operate as the Test Manager for our AI-powered ophthalmology SaaS platform. You will lead QA initiatives, mentor teams, and shape testing strategies for fast-moving AI-enabled healthcare applications.

The role emphasizes QA leadership, test automation, API testing, performance testing, and a deep understanding of non-deterministic AI outputs and guardrails to ensure patient-safe, high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or related field.
• Proven software testing and QA leadership experience.
• Experience with SaaS or AI-enabled applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• ISTQB Advanced or equivalent certification.
• Experience with test automation, API testing, and performance testing.
• Understanding non-deterministic AI outputs, guardrails and data-quality risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA teams on fast-moving SaaS or AI-enabled projects.

We are looking for a hands-on Manual QA Lead who can also operate as the Test Manager for the system. The ideal candidate will lead QA teams on fast-moving SaaS or AI-ena Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience in software testing, and quality assurance.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience leading QA teams on fast-moving projects, preferably SaaS products or AI-enabled applications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Advance ISTQB or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with test automation, API testing, performance or load testing, and CI/CD quality practices.
• Automation should be value-driven and maintainable rather than focused on coverage numbers alone.
• Experience in various Software Development Methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, and V-model.
• Practical understanding that AI-enabled applications require a different QA approach, including evaluation of non-deterministic outputs, response quality and variability, data-quality risks, guardrails, failure modes, and human-in-the-loop outcomes.
