Job summary

DP World in India’s Tamil Nadu region seeks an experienced Warehouse Operations professional to oversee daily activities across inbound, outbound, storage, picking, packing and dispatch, ensuring smooth execution of client contracts.

You will monitor KPIs, drive Lean improvements, lead shifts, coordinate with logistics teams, and uphold safety and SOPs while optimizing space and material flow for efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure smooth execution of customer‑specific contract logistics requirements.
• Monitor warehouse KPIs such as productivity, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, turnaround time, and on‑time dispatch.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization and material flow processes.
• Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, supervisors, and shift teams.
• Plan manpower allocation and shift scheduling based on operational volumes.
• Drive employee engagement, discipline, and productivity improvements.
• Ensure adherence to customer SLAs and operational commitments.
• Coordinate with customers for issue resolution, reporting, and operational reviews.
• Maintain high service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
• Implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive automation and digital adoption where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, statutory, and company policies.
• Maintain warehouse safety standards and conduct regular audits.
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to SOPs.
• Coordinate with transportation, procurement, and customer service teams.
• Prepare MIS reports on warehouse performance and productivity metrics.
• Support budgeting and cost control initiatives.
