Job Summary: Jayem Automotives (P) Ltd, a leader in auto components and prototype manufacturing, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vendor Development Manager to join our team. This role involves identifying, evaluating, and developing suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of high-quality components. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our supply chain, supporting both production and prototype development.
Vendor Identification: Identify and evaluate potential vendors for auto components and prototype manufacturing.
Vendor Qualification: Assess vendor capabilities through facility audits, quality checks, and process evaluations.
Supplier Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring they meet the JAPL's technical and quality standards.
Cost Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost-effective procurement.
Process Development: Collaborate with vendors to develop and refine manufacturing processes for prototype components.
Quality Assurance: Work with vendors to ensure components meet stringent quality requirements; address and resolve quality issues.
Prototype Support: Support the prototype manufacturing process by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of components.
Continuous Improvement: Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain to optimize performance.
Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate vendor performance regarding quality, delivery, and cost; provide feedback and corrective actions.
Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams (production, quality, engineering) to align vendor output with project timelines.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to the supply chain, including potential delays or quality issues.
Maintain detailed records of vendor activities, contracts, and performance metrics; prepare regular reports for management.
