Job Position Summary
Quality Catering Division (QCD) is the shore catering department of Fleet Management Ltd., that oversees the victualing (on board catering) matters of the merchant vessels (cargo ships) that the organization manages.
As a part of its endeavours, it also provides training to the salon ratings (chief cooks and general stewards) at it’s training centre located at Borivali – Mumbai.
The Training centre at QCD is headed by a Training Manager who reports to the G.M – QCD and is responsible to oversee its day-to-day affairs, devise training strategies and methodologies, design training modules and manuals and train the galley team on various aspects of their job, particularly on imparting various culinary skills.
He/She will lead a team of trainers (faculty) together with whom he/she will provide various skill upgradation programs to the saloon ratings (chief cooks and general stewards) who are employed by the organization to work on board its clients merchant vessels.
