Job summary

Columbia Aurus Ship Management seeks a Chef Training Coordinator to support culinary training initiatives on vessels. You will coach crew, conduct e-learning sessions, and maintain training records under supervision.

The ideal candidate holds a Culinary/Hotel Management degree with 3+ years as a Chef, excellent English communication, and a willingness to travel to ship locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Culinary College or Hotel Management College.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Excellent command of an Indian language.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Passion for the maritime industry.

Responsibilities

• Support the Culinary Training Supervisor in training initiatives.
• Provide e-learning coaching to crew members.
• Coach, assess, and support crew competence development onboard vessels.
• Maintain training records and follow up on training requirements.
• Conduct onboard vessel visits and provide culinary consultancy and on-the-job training.
• Report training progress, issues, and concerns to the relevant supervisors.

• Previous experience as a Chief Cook onboard merchant vessels
