Embarkgcc Services in Hyderabad is seeking a senior tax returns supervisor to oversee the preparation and filing of 500+ sales and use tax returns per month, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will lead a team, mentor staff, drive process improvements across workflows, coordinate with product management and treasury, and handle escalations while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.

This role may require overtime, weekends, and occasional travel as business needs dictate.

Prepare and oversee the filing of 500+ sales and use tax returns per month, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Supervise, coach, develop, train, and mentor tax returns processing staff to achieve personal and business goals.
• Establish and manage mentoring programs for the team; ensure career development plans for all direct reports.
• Ensure quality control for clients within the team and manage the client onboarding process.
• Serve as an escalation point for internal and external customers, resolving issues promptly.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating functions relating to the operation of the business.
• Manage and communicate the status of internal processes to ensure compliance with deadlines and business requirements.
• Implement and manage process and system changes, driving innovation and efficiency.
• Ensure continuing development and documentation of internal processes and procedures.
• Provide recommendations and suggestions for improvements to increase performance.
• Lead or participate in strategic initiatives and other projects as needed.
• Ensure client notices from taxing jurisdictions are handled in a timely manner.
• Work with product management, treasury, and development staff to improve and prioritize manual and automated processes.
• Fulfill speaking engagements and represent the department as needed.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends based on business need; occasional travel may be required.
