Avaada Group seeks an experienced electrical engineer to lead end-to-end HV/EHV switchyard design and substation integration up to 400 kV SIS. You will own protection schemes, relay coordination, earthing, and evacuation interfaces while coordinating with EPC teams across design, construction, and commissioning phases.

You will oversee site testing of relays, ensure compliance with IS/IEC/CBIP/NFPA standards, and drive reliable grid interconnection solutions for green field and extensions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of HV/EHV switchyards (up to 400 kV).
• Experience with protection schemes and relay coordination.

Responsabilités

• Lead switchyard design and engineering for HV/EHV up to 400 kV SIS.
• Design earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Exposure to testing of make relays at site.
• Design evacuation systems including transmission line interfaces.
• Integrate primary systems with SCADA and SAS.
• Troubleshoot installation and energization issues.
• Coordinate with EPC stakeholders and manage engineering teams.
• Understand switching schemes for 132/220/400 kV.
• Experience with AIS and GIS EHV substations.

Job Objective/Purpose:

To be involved in end-to-end design, engineering, and execution support for high-voltage switchyards and grid interconnection systems, ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance with grid codes.

Job Role:

It requires technical authority for switchyard design and engineering, responsible for developing layouts, equipment specifications, protection schemes, and ensuring seamless integration with substations and grid infrastructure. The role requires leadership of engineering teams, coordination with EPC stakeholders, and oversight during construction and commissioning phases.

Job Responsibility:

• Switchyard Design & Engineering upto 400KV EHV SIS
• Design earthing and lightning protection systems
• Exposure to testing of make relays at site
• Design evacuation systems including transmission line interfaces
• Integrate switchyard primary systems with SCADA and substation automation systems (SAS)
• Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and energization
• Stakeholder management with internal & external stakeholders
• Understanding and hands-on experience of all switching schemes for 132KV, 220 KV & 400KV
• Worked on AIS & GIS EHV substation design & engineering for green field and extension work.
• Well-versed with complete standard IS/IEC/CBIP/NFPA for switchyard.

Knowledge, Skills and Technology Platform

• Strong expertise in HV/EHV switchyard and substation design
• In-depth knowledge of Protection systems and relay coordination & Grid interconnection and evacuation systems will give added advantage
• Understanding of SCADA/SAS integration for primary engineering interface
