Qualifications
Experience in high-voltage and utility-scale substations (GIS/AIS of Voltage level 132 kV, 220 kV, 400 kV, 765KV).
Exposure to renewable energy interfacing substations (solar/wind) and Grid Substations (GIS/AIS).
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
Responsibilities
Lead design review and verification of substation layouts and protection schemes.
Review engineering drawings and specifications from contractors.
Participate in tendering activities and prepare technical scopes and cost estimates.
Ensure designs comply with national and international codes.
Evaluate equipment datasheets and vendor drawings.

Job description
Lead the design review and verification of substation layouts, single-line diagrams, equipment sizing, and protection schemes.
Review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications from EPC contractors or consultants.
Participate in tendering activities, including preparation of technical scopes, BOQs, cost estimates, and bid documents.
Ensure all designs comply with national and international codes, standards, and client requirements.
Evaluate equipment datasheets, vendor drawings, and technical submittals.
Support project managers in technical clarifications, scope finalization, and contract review.
Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, design review reports, and correspondence with clients and stakeholders.
Mentor and guide junior engineers in substation design, standards, and best practices.
Provide input for project planning, cost optimization, and value engineering.
Ensure coordination between civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams for seamless project execution.
Ensure adherence to the HSE roles, responsibilities & accountabilities as defined in MS-0047700-HSE Roles Responsibilities & Authorities.
Comply and ensure implementation of the company’s and the customer’s Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
