Server, Mail & End User Computing Administrator Manager / Senior Manager
Role Overview
The Server, Mail & End User Computing (EUC) Administrator will manage and support the organisations IT infrastructure across servers, cloud workloads, email systems, enduser devices, collaboration tools, and workplace technology. This role ensures secure, compliant, and highperformance IT operations across head office, stores, and warehouse environments. The ideal candidate has strong technical depth, handson troubleshooting capability, and experience supporting distributed retail environments.
Key Responsibilities
Server & Infrastructure Management
- Server Administration — Manage Windows servers, virtualisation platforms, storage systems, and backup infrastructure.
- Monitor server performance, uptime, and capacity across HO and store locations.
- Implement OS patches, updates, and security hardening.
- Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and related core services.
AWS Cloud Workload Management
- AWS Workload Management — Manage workloads hosted on AWS including AD servers, application servers, and supporting infrastructure.
- Coordinate with cloud partners to troubleshoot issues, optimise performance, and ensure availability.
- Spin up and spin down EC2 instances, manage storage, monitor utilisation, and maintain cost efficiency.
- Understand AWS commercials, billing structures, reserved instances, and costoptimisation opportunities.
- Ensure cloud workloads adhere to security, compliance, and backup policies.
Email & Collaboration Systems
- Mail Server Management — Administer IceWarp email platform including routing, security policies, spam filtering, and mailbox provisioning.
- Manage Microsoft 365 productivity suite including Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
- Troubleshoot email delivery issues and support users with Outlook and IceWarp client configurations.
- Ensure compliance with retention policies, security standards, and audit requirements.
End User Computing (EUC)
- EUC Support — Manage laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and store IT hardware.
- Oversee OS deployment, device imaging, patching, and endpoint security for Windows devices.
- Manage MDM/EMM tools such as Intune for device compliance, configuration, and security.
- Support store devices including POS peripherals, handheld terminals, and networkconnected equipment.
Copilot & AI Productivity Tools Administration
- Administer Microsoft Copilot access, licensing, user onboarding, and compliance.
- Ensure secure integration of Copilot with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Monitor usage, optimise configurations, and support users in adopting AIdriven productivity tools.
License & Compliance Management
- Manage and track licenses for Microsoft 365, Windows OS, IceWarp, AWS workloads, endpoint security tools, and other enterprise software.
- Ensure compliance with vendor agreements, audits, and renewal cycles.
- Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and digital assets.
- Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for license optimisation and cost control.
Network & Security Coordination
- Work with network teams to ensure stable connectivity across stores and HO.
- Implement endpoint security, antivirus, DLP, and vulnerability management.
- Support firewall, VPN, and access control configurations as required.
User Support & IT Operations
- Provide L2/L3 support for server, mail, cloud, and EUC issues.
- Support store openings, relocations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Maintain documentation, SOPs, and configuration records.
- Coordinate with vendors for escalations, AMC, and hardware/software procurement.
CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Work closely with Retail Application, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and IT teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
- Participate in audits, compliance checks, and IT governance activities.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows server administration.
- Experience with AWS workloads, EC2 management, cloud troubleshooting, and cost optimisation.
- Experience with IceWarp email platform and Microsoft 365 suite.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP.
- Familiarity with virtualisation (VMware/HyperV) and storage systems.
- Experience with endpoint management tools such as Intune.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls).
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, OS, cloud, and application issues.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10–12 years of experience in server, mail, cloud, and EUC administration.
- Experience supporting multistore retail or distributed enterprise environments preferred.
