Job summary

MCNEX INDIA PVT LTD. in Andhra Pradesh is seeking an experienced IT Helpdesk and Manufacturing IT Support professional.

The role focuses on PC hardware, Windows OS, and security across the shop floor, with responsibility for maintaining uptime and supporting MES/ERP integrations. You will own end-user device support, manage networking elements (LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN), and mentor junior staff while coordinating with vendors to ensure service levels and asset life-cycle processes in a demanding

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/EC or related field.

  • Experience with industrial networking and shop-floor hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day hardware issues across workstations and devices.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Computer & End-User Support: Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day hardware issues across workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices to ensure zero downtime.
  • Software Issue Resolution: Diagnose and fix software crashes, manage operating system configurations, and support standard business applications and enterprise integrations.
  • Malware & Security Enforcement: Implement robust endpoint security measures, actively monitor for and remediate malware/viruses, and enforce cybersecurity policies tailored for both IT and Operational Technology (OT) networks.
  • Network & Infrastructure Management: Deploy, configure, and manage local network infrastructure, including LAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and VPN connections.
  • Manufacturing Systems Support (MES/ERP): Act as the technical lead to ensure seamless data flow across Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms.
  • Shop-Floor Hardware: Configure and troubleshoot industrial IT equipment, including barcode scanners, label printers, IoT sensors, and workstation terminals.
  • IT Asset & Vendor Management: Handle hardware lifecycles, procurement, and asset management while negotiating with local ISPs/vendors and ensuring strict adherence to uptime SLAs.
Required Qualifications (Key Skills):
  • 4 to 7 years of IT experience, particularly within a helpdesk, system administration, or manufacturing IT department.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or a related field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience troubleshooting PC hardware, Windows OS, and standard software applications.
  • Proven expertise in identifying, isolating, and removing malware, spyware, and other endpoint security threats.
  • Hands-on experience managing industrial networking and shop-floor hardware.
  • Strong understanding of IT asset procurement and vendor management.
Preferred / Desirable Skills:
  • Proficiency in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Office 365 environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise integrations across ERP, MES, and HRIS platforms.
  • Solid expertise in virtualization software, including VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Hands-on knowledge of network routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
  • Experience in shop-floor automation, IoT deployment, and manufacturing process digitization.
Other Requirements:
  • Strong analytical thinking and complex troubleshooting capabilities under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent cross-departmental communication skills to interface between IT and shop-floor operations.
  • Leadership capability and willingness to mentor junior IT support staff.
