Job summary

Macawber Beekay is seeking a procurement professional with BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering to develop sourcing partners for major equipment. The role requires evaluating offers techno-commercially and standardizing suppliers based on technical, commercial, and quality needs.

You will lead negotiations, coordinate with design/engineering and QC teams for supplier approvals, and support proposal estimation across internal departments.

Qualifications

• BE/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of project-based equipment: pumps, valves, motors, gear boxes, compressors, blowers, panels (MCC/PLC), cables, fabricated equipment, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers; negotiate the best commercial terms and technical package for procurement requirements.
• Prepare reports and information according to established processes.
• Interfacing with design and engineering departments for cost-competitive sourcing of items.
• Interfacing with quality control for supplier approval, QAP and supplier-end inspections.
• Interfacing with sales & marketing towards proposal estimation.
• Ability to handle internal customers and vendors; coordinate several projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of Project based equipments includes Pumps, Valves, Motors, Gear Boxes, Compressor, Blower, Panels(MCC/PLC), Cables, Fabricated equipments etc.

To develop sourcing partner of minimum 3 suppliers for every major equipment

Can do tecno-commercial evaluation of offers.

To standardize suppliers based on sourcing requirements (Technical, commercial, and quality needs)

Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers, Negotiate the best commercial terms and technical package for procurement requirements.

Can Prepare reports and information according to established processes.

Interfacing with design and engineering departments of the company for cost competitive sourcing of items.

Interfacing with quality control department for supplier approval process, approval of QAP & inspection at supplier end.

Interfacing with sales & marketing department towards proposal estimation

Ability to handle internal customer & also to vendors.
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
