Job summary

Success Consultancy Services in Punjab, India seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead product development and after-sales activities. You will drive NPD, validate products through trials, and ensure smooth technology transfer from design to manufacturing across cross-functional teams including Production, QA, Sales, and R&D.

The role requires deep knowledge of tractor mechanisms, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience in project leadership with a focus on field

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech Degree Mechanical relevant to the role.
• Exposure to Product Development or testing (R&D).
• Experience in After Sales Operations and Project Lead exposure.

Responsibilities

• Drive NPD and improve existing products based on requirements.
• Plan and execute product trials, testing, and validation.
• Ensure technology transfer from design to manufacturing.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor developments.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, Sales for product development alignment.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance adherence in design and development.
• Lead after-sales strategy and service quality improvements.
• Analyze field issues, warranty failures, and customer complaints; perform RCA.
• Ensure timely resolution of product issues with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with service teams, dealers, and OEM partners to improve service delivery.
• Drive service campaigns and product upgrades.
• Support training modules for service engineers and dealer networks.
• Capture market feedback for continuous product enhancement.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Research & Development

• Drive new product development (NPD) and improvement of existing products based on requirement
• Design, plan, and execute product trials, testing, and validation activities
• Ensure effective technology transfer from design to manufacturing
• Monitor industry trends, competitor developments, and emerging technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, QA, Sales) to align product development with business requirement
• Ensure regulatory and compliance adherence in product design and development.

& Filed Performance

• Lead after-sales strategy and service quality improvement.
• Analyse field issues, warranty failures, and customer complaints and drive root cause analysis (RCA)
• Ensure timely resolution of product issues with structured corrective actions
• Work closely with service teams, dealers, and OEM partners to strengthen service delivery
• Drive service campaigns, field improvement programs, and product upgrades
• Support development of training modules for service engineers and dealer networks
• Capture market feedback and integrate it into R&D for continuous product enhancement

Production and supplier improvement (Good to have)

• Lead production process improvement and supplier improvement activity

Work Experience Requirements:

• Should have worked in similar area for at least 7 years.
• Strong analytical & communication skills
• Should be able to read & interpret drawings.
• Should have deep knowledge about tractor mechanisms and structure
• Act as a bridge between Production, After sales, R&D and Vender development teams
• Participate in customer visits and provide technical support.
