Job summary

BVR People Consulting is seeking a seasoned Sourcing professional with 8–12 years in strategic sourcing for EMS/electronics. You will lead sourcing and procurement for electronic and mechanical components, drive supplier selection, negotiations and lead-time management, and work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing.

The role emphasizes localization, dual sourcing, NPI/NPD support, BOM analysis, and achieving annual cost savings through VA/VE and volume consolidation.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in Strategic Sourcing or Procurement.
• Experience in EMS/Electronics Manufacturing preferred.
• BE/B.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience sourcing electronic components, PCB/PCBA, cables and mechanical parts.
• Exposure to semiconductors and distributors.
• RFQ, BOM costing, lead time, supplier capacity and negotiations.
• NPI/NPD sourcing, localization and cost reduction.
• Strong supplier management, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Good communication with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers based on Quality, Cost, Delivery and Service (QCDS).
• Handle RFQ/RFI, supplier selection, commercial negotiation, pricing, MOQ, payment terms and lead-time negotiations.
• Drive localization, alternate supplier development and dual sourcing to ensure supply continuity.
• Manage supplier performance, capacity, delivery commitments and corrective actions.
• Support NPI/NPD sourcing, BOM analysis, prototype/sample procurement and mass-production readiness.
• Drive cost reduction, VA/VE, alternate sourcing, volume consolidation and annual savings.
• Manage sourcing risks for critical, long-lead and single-source components.
• Work closely with Engineering, NPI, Quality, Planning and Manufacturing teams.

Candidate must have worked 8-12yr in Sourcing Department of Electronics Manufacturing Industry (must have sourcing Experience for PCBA & Semiconductor)

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 8 to 12 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement or Supply Chain.
• Experience in EMS / Electronics Manufacturing is preferred.
• B.E./B.Tech in Engineering, preferably Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical.
• Strong experience in sourcing electronic components, PCB/PCBA, cable harness, mechanical and electromechanical components.
• Exposure to semiconductors, authorized distributors and global/local suppliers.
• Strong knowledge of RFQ, BOM costing, MOQ, lead time, supplier capacity and commercial negotiations.
• Experience in NPI/NPD sourcing, localization, alternate sourcing and cost reduction.
• Strong supplier management, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional manufacturing teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office / Excel.
