Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks an experienced software engineering leader to own delivery from design to production for the Claims AI 10.0 platform. You will translate SOPs into agentic architectures and drive predictable delivery across parallel tracks while overseeing agent catalogs, workflow orchestration, and MCP integrations.

The role requires 10+ years in software engineering, 4+ years leading complex distributed systems and experience delivering enterprise platforms into regulated production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years leading complex, distributed systems delivery.
• Experience delivering enterprise platforms into regulated production environments.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery from design → build → test → production for Claims AI 10.0 platform components and use case pods.
• Translate business workflows into agentic architectures using atomic, composite, and workflow agents.
• Drive predictable delivery across parallel tracks: platform foundations and near term automation use cases.
• Oversee development of agent catalog and lifecycle management.
• Oversee workflow orchestration (routing, retries, pause/resume).
• Oversee MCP based tool and data integrations.
• Oversee HITL (Human in the Loop) review workflows.
• Ensure production grade standards: CI/CD for agents and workflows, monitoring, alerting, cost controls (AgentOps), rollback and kill switch mechanisms.

Primary Responsibilities

• Own delivery from design → build → test → production for Claims AI 10.0 platform components and use case pods
• Translate business workflows (SOPs, edits, policies) into agentic architectures using atomic, composite, and workflow agents
• Drive predictable delivery across parallel tracks: platform foundations and near term automation use cases
• Oversee development of:
  • Agent catalog and lifecycle management
  • Workflow orchestration (routing, retries, pause/resume)
  • MCP based tool and data integrations
  • HITL (Human in the Loop) review workflows
• Ensure all solutions meet production grade standards:
  • CI/CD for agents and workflows
  • Monitoring, alerting, cost controls (AgentOps)
  • Rollback and kill switch mechanisms
