Job summary

Optum India is seeking a senior software engineer to join our India team in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. You will contribute to end-to-end development, design scalable microservices, and implement secure, high-performance web applications using Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, and NodeJS.

You will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment. The role demands 7+ years in software engineering across the SDLC, strong REST API experience, and a solid understanding of web security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent).
• 7+ years in the software engineering profession across entire SDLC.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, Redux, NodeJS, JavaScript, HTML and Microservices.
• Experience consuming REST Applications and delivering software using Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Think from end to end prospective of work and write effective code with security in mind.
• Collaborate with business to evaluate goals, identify problems and propose solutions.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum meetings and support sprint progress.
• Design and develop innovative solutions; drive some software engineering phases.

Primary Responsibilities

• Think from end to end prospective of work
• Write Effective code with best security practices in place
• AI Builder to use code assitance, code quality and security identifications
• Collaborate with the business to evaluate business goals, identify business problems, and propose solutions
• Participate actively in Agile / SCRUM meetings
• Help the Scrum execution team to make a smooth progress on delivering new functionality and at the end the each Sprint
• Apply repeatable design patterns, best practices and development frameworks and techniques
• Focus on execution of product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
• Drive some of the software engineering phases including requirements analysis, architecture & application design
• Design and develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business
• Triage production support issues post-deployment and drive solutions as required
• Build reusable components, frameworks and libraries which can be leveraged across department
• Collaborate with quality teams to drive continuous improvement
• Works with less structured, more complex issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• AI User
• 7+ years in the software engineering profession across entire SDLC
• 3+ years of prior hands-on experience in Java, Sprint Boot, React JS, Redux, Node JS, JavaScript, Html and Microservices
• Experience consuming REST Applications
• Experience delivering software using an Agile / Scrum methodology
• Good understanding of Google Web Optimization guidelines, Web Performance best practices and search engine optimization
• Good Web Security
• Good understanding of web application networking and communication flows
• Demonstrated success designing and building high-quality, scalable commercial software applications
