Qualifications

  • 4+ years of DevOps tooling and automation pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes).
  • Experience using API testing tools such as Postman or Insomnia.

As part of our Claims DevOps team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that support key claims processing capabilities. In this role, you will work within a collaborative, fast-paced environment leveraging Java full-stack technologies, cloud platforms, and relational/non-relational databases (Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL) to optimize claims workflows and ensure high system availability. You will leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline engineering workflows, automate tasks, and enhance operational efficiency while prioritizing production stability and supporting FACETS claims processing workflows.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java full-stack frameworks, databases, and cloud platforms
  • Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to established software engineering standards
  • Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous operational improvement
  • Evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and strategic innovation within claims operations
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, technical code reviews, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product owners, and technical architects to translate business requirements into scalable software implementations
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across development, testing, and production environments with an understanding of operational priorities and production delays
  • Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Kubernetes to streamline software delivery
  • Participate in automated unit testing, functional testing, and performance optimization of software application components

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience developing full-stack Java applications
  • 4+ years of experience working with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, Sybase, SQL Server, MySQL, or MongoDB, including stored procedure development
  • 4+ years of experience with DevOps tools and automation pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes)
  • 4+ years of experience using API testing tools such as Postman or Insomnia
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing enterprise-approved AI tools to optimize daily coding, debugging, or task automation workflows
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages, including Python, Java, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with cloud platforms and monitoring/automation tools such as Airflow, Amazon S3, Lens, Git Bash, Splunk, or ServiceNow
  • Domain knowledge or experience with FACETS claims processing
  • Background in IT operations with an understanding of task prioritization and production incident resolution
