Job summary

N-able is seeking an MDR SOC Manager/Senior Leader in Bengaluru to drive strategic direction, workforce planning, and operational excellence across MDR SOC operations. You will partner with leaders across teams to scale the SOC, improve detection and response, and ensure customer success.

Ideal candidates have 13–18 years in SOC/IR with senior leadership experience, proven multi-site oversight, and executive certifications. Hybrid work expectations and strong client service focus are valued.

Qualifications

• 13–18 years of SOC or IR experience with at least 3 years in senior leadership.
• Proven success managing multi-team or multi-site SOC operations.
• Executive-level certification (CISSP, CISM, CCISO) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction to MDR SOC teams and leaders.
• Define and enforce SOC policies, standards, and best practices.
• Lead workforce planning and resource allocation.
• Track KPIs and performance metrics for service quality.
• Drive continuous improvement for detection and response.
• Oversee incident handling and escalation efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Threat Intelligence, and Product teams.
• Serve as senior escalation authority for critical incidents.

What You'll Do

The MDR SOC Manager oversees all MDR SOC operations, providing strategic direction and ensuring operational excellence. This role is accountable for workforce planning, SOC performance metrics, and customer satisfaction. The Senior Manager partners with leadership across departments to drive continuous improvement and operational scalability

• Oversee incident handling processes and ensure escalation efficiency.
• Partner with Engineering, Threat Intelligence, and Product teams to strengthen MDR capabilities.
• Serve as a senior escalation authority for critical customer incidents.
• Contribute to strategic planning and service delivery roadmaps.

What You'll Bring

• 13–18 years of SOC or IR experience with at least 3 years in senior leadership.
• Proven success managing multi-team or multi-site SOC operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• Executive-level certification (CISSP, CISM, CCISO) strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Expertise in SOC operations, MDR delivery, and client service.
• Ability to align operations with strategic business objectives.
