Job summary

Contactx Resource Management is seeking an experienced SOC Manager to lead its Security Operations Center in India. You will oversee monitoring, detection, response, and mitigation of cybersecurity threats across the organization.

The role requires 7+ years in cybersecurity with SOC or incident response, hands-on with SIEM/SOAR and MDR tools, and strong leadership to mentor analysts. You will collaborate with IT, risk, and compliance while guiding incident playbooks and KPIs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity with SOC or incident response experience.
• Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms.
• Leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on with NextGen MDR tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day SOC operations and incident response.
• Mentor and develop SOC analysts (L1-L3).

• Ensure detection, analysis, containment, and remediation of incidents.
• Develop incident response playbooks and SOPs.

Role Summary

The SOC Manager leads the Security Operations Center, ensuring effective monitoring, detection, response, and mitigation of cybersecurity threats across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day SOC operations and incident response activities
• Lead, mentor, and develop SOC analysts (L1/L2/L3)
• Oversee security monitoring tools (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IDS/IPS)
• Ensure timely detection, analysis, containment, and remediation of incidents
• Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, SOPs, and runbooks
• Coordinate with IT, risk, compliance, and leadership during security incidents
• Track SOC KPIs, metrics, and provide regular reports to management
• Support compliance requirements (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, etc.)
• Support in proposals, RFP, RFI, bids, etc.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years in cybersecurity, including SOC or incident response experience
• Strong knowledge of threat detection, malware analysis, and attack frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK)
• Experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms and security operations processes
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Hands-on experience on NextGen MDR tools (MS Sentinel, Google SecOps, CS NGSIEM, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CEH
• Experience managing 24x7 SOC operations and shift rotations.
