Henkel in Kurkumbh, India, seeks a SHE Manager to drive Sustainability, Health, Environment and Safety at the site, ensuring compliance with Henkel standards, legal requirements, and continuous improvement while fostering a strong safety culture.

You will lead audits, manage risk reduction, environmental monitoring, incident investigations, and develop training for employees and contractors, partnering with cross-functional teams to strengthen governance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Chemical Engineering is mandatory.
• ADIS/PDIS certification is essential.
• NEBOSH certification is preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in chemical/pharma manufacturing.
• Proven leadership of SHE functions at large sites.

Responsibilities

• Drive and implement site SHE strategy aligned with priorities.
• Ensure compliance with SHE standards, permits and regulations.
• Lead continuous improvement for safety and risk reduction.
• Manage site audits and closure of findings.
• Monitor environmental compliance, including ETP operations.
• Prepare periodic SHE reports and drive corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis.

About this Position

The SHE Manager is responsible for driving the Sustainability, Health, Environment and Safety (SHE) strategy at the Kurkumbh site. The role ensures full compliance with Henkel SHE standards, legal requirements, and continuous improvement agendas, while fostering a strong safety culture and advancing sustainability and process safety excellence across the site

What you´ll do

• Drive and implement site SHE strategy aligned with regional and global priorities.
• Ensure compliance with SHE standards, legal regulations, permits, and statutory requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives for safety, sustainability, and risk reduction.
• Manage and represent the site during SHE, Process Safety, and Corporate audits.
• Track audit actions and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Monitor environmental compliance, including ETP operations and regulatory approvals.
• Prepare periodic SHE reports, analyze performance trends, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead SHE incident investigations, root cause analysis, and action tracking.
• Develop and deliver SHE training programs to employees, contractors, and third parties.
• Conduct workplace risk assessments and promote a strong safety culture across operations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen SHE governance and operational excellence.
