Job summary

Henkel seeks a seasoned Process Safety leader to drive PSM initiatives at the Kurkumbh site in India. You will facilitate risk assessments, embed a process safety culture across manufacturing plants, and collaborate with operations, engineering, and project teams to mitigate risks and support growth.

The role requires 8+ years in process safety, strong HAZOP/PHA/LOPA skills, and the ability to train and coach shopfloor teams.

Qualifications

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of industry experience, with the last 1–2 years leading a plant/site for process safety.
  • Strong skills in HAZOP, PHA, LOPA; capable of leading the same for the site.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence, train and coach shopfloor teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Process Safety Management activities across manufacturing plants at the Kurkumbh site.
  • Facilitate and conduct process hazard analyses including HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, FMEA, and other risk assessment studies.
  • Identify high-risk processes and drive mitigation plans through collaboration with operations, engineering, and project teams.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve site-specific process safety systems and procedures.
  • Manage Process Safety KPI reporting, trend analysis, and improvement initiatives.
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Drive Management of Change (MoC) processes and ensure process safety considerations are integrated into project design and execution.
  • Lead process safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
  • Coach, train, and influence site teams to strengthen process safety awareness and culture.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and Henkel Process Safety requirements.

Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for driving Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives, facilitating risk assessments, ensuring compliance with global and local safety standards, and embedding a strong process safety culture across multiple manufacturing plants. Working closely with operations, engineering, maintenance, and project teams, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating process risks while supporting business growth and operational excellence.
