Job summary

Scimplify in India (Gujarat) seeks a Manager/Senior Manager- Product Commercialization with strong specialty chemical, metals, hydrometallurgy, REE, and battery recycling experience to lead process design, calculations, and engineering documentation.

You will guide production, coordinate outsourced work, and ensure compliance with international codes and safety standards while driving project efficiency and quality across plant operations.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with 3-4 years of experience in specialty chemical/Metals/Hydrometallurgy/Battery recycling and REE manufacturing plants.
• Experience in contract manufacturing/manufacturing in metals and hydrometallurgy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update BEP and utility calculations.
• Develop PFDs and P&IDs; create Process datasheets for vessels, pumps, columns, and instruments.
• Lead pilot trials and commissioning of new products in plants.
• SOP review and preparation; manage outsourced production and vendor relationships.
• Perform equipment sizing and hydraulic calculations.
• Ensure all designs comply with international codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Maintain quality standards and follow company SOPs and quality procedures.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Manager/Senior Manager- -Product Commercialization with strong experience in specialty chemical/Metals/Hydrometallurgy/Rare earth elements (REE)/battery recycling. The role involves process design, calculations, guiding production people and preparation of engineering documents like BEP, utility calculations etc Also handles outsourced production, vendor relationships and contract terms.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update process engineering documents such as: o BEP (Basic engineering package) and Utility calculations o P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) o PFDs (Process Flow diagrams) o Process datasheets (vessels, pumps, Columns, instruments, etc.) o Pilot trials and Commissioning of new product in plants o SOP review and preparation
• Perform process calculations, including:
• Equipment sizing
• Hydraulic calculations
• Ensure all designs comply with international codes, standards, and safety regulations
• Maintain quality standards and follow company SOPs and quality procedures.

• PFD & P&ID development and review
• Equipment & system design
• Understanding of engineering codes & standards
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Also have positive attitude.
• Able to lead any specific product portfolio individually.
