Project Manager for Catalyst and Licensing Solution delivery

Responsibilities
- Monitor and lead junior engineers in developing process design specifications, including heat and material balances, design flow plans, process equipment design, preliminary hydraulic balances, utility balances, basic process control and instrumentation, materials selection, and safety facilities.
- Provide technical oversight for engineering contractor's work during PDP, FEED, and EPC phases to ensure consistency with company methods, guidelines, project specifications, and owner's requirements.
- Lead and/or perform process optimization studies to identify and evaluate capital and operating cost savings, process configuration alternatives, and safety facilities requirements.
- Lead and/or perform required design reviews as per EM work processes, engaging the necessary EM subject matter experts for technical quality management.
- Participate in Hazard and Operability Reviews.
- Provide commissioning and start-up assistance for new or modified facilities as required.
- Address discipline engineering queries from contractors and sub-contractors, as well as technical information requests.
- Lead new programs for engineering development and Commercialization of Pilot plant technologies including staffing and resource planning
- Lead the development of capital cost estimation and Project development
- Establish organization and staffing processes
- Lead technical–commercial engagement with customers, identifying process needs and proposing suitable technologies, catalysts, and engineering solutions.
- Develop and manage sales opportunities for technology licensing, catalysts, ensuring strong competitive positioning.
- Coordinate proposal preparation by working with engineering and commercial teams to deliver high-quality technical and commercial bids.
- Maintain strong customer relationships through regular technical discussions, troubleshooting support, and performance reviews.
- Monitor market trends and offerings to provide strategic insights and support product and business growth initiatives.
- Drive negotiations and deal closure while ensuring accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and adherence to internal processes.
Skills and Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Familiarity with general industry engineering standards.
- Experience working with global and local engineering contractors.
- Experience in process start-up and commissioning or Operation is must.
- Expert with downstream and chemical technologies, with prior experience in these areas.
- Strong background in simulation and process design, coupled with project development experience.
- Strong understanding of Capital cost estimation and Project development schedule
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience in the petroleum refining or chemical process industry, or with an engineering contractor serving these industries.
- Strong understanding of downstream and petrochemical technologies, with preferred experience in plant operation and start-up.
- Basic knowledge of techno-economic evaluation concepts and project economics.
- Proficient in process design, capable of leading a design team in developing basic process design specifications or overseeing an engineering contractor's technical deliverables during the Process Design Package (PDP), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), detailed engineering phase (EPC), and project start-up.
