Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing/social sciences or related field; 8–12 years fundraising experience.
• Experience in nonprofit fundraising, CSR partnerships, and grant management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; persuasive proposal crafting.

Position Title : Manager/Senior Manager- Fundraising Location : Mumbai Job Purpose: Fundraising person will be responsible for securing the financial and in-kind resources necessary to sustain and scale Akshar Foundation’s mission of transforming education for underprivileged children. By leveraging innovative fundraising strategies, building strategic partnerships, and engaging communities, this role ensures the Foundation can deliver its programs—such as tablet-based learning, vocational training, and sustainable school ecosystems.

Fundraising Strategy & Revenue Growth

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with Akshar Foundation’s mission and objectives.
• Identify and pursue new revenue streams, including corporate sponsorships, individual giving, and institutional grants.

Donor & Corporate Partnership Development

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and institutional funders.
• Act as the primary liaison for donors and funding partners, ensuring strong engagement and retention.
• Establish and manage CSR partnerships to attract corporate funding and sponsorships.

Grant Writing & Proposal Development

• Research, identify, and apply for grants from government agencies, foundations, and private organizations.
• Draft compelling grant proposals, sponsorship requests, and funding applications to secure financial support.

Fundraising Campaigns & Events

• Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, charity events, and donor engagement initiatives.
• Leverage crowdfunding, digital fundraising, and social media campaigns to maximize outreach.

Budget & Financial Oversight

• Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage fundraising budgets.
• Ensure efficient utilization of funds and compliance with financial and regulatory guidelines.

Monitoring, Reporting & Impact Measurement

• Track, analyze, and report on fundraising performance, donor contributions, and campaign success.
• Present regular reports and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the communications, programs, and finance teams to execute successful fundraising initiatives.
• Develop marketing materials and donor communication strategies to enhance fundraising efforts.

Technical & Soft Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for crafting persuasive proposals and donor materials.
• Proficiency in fundraising software and donor management platforms.
• Knowledge of digital fundraising strategies, social media engagement, and crowdfunding platforms.
• Strong networking, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, with a proactive and result-driven approach.

Base location: Mumbai

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, social sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred). Experience : 8 to 12 Years of Relevant experience in fundraising, development, or a similar role (preferably within the nonprofit sector).
