Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. in Chakan seeks an experienced security leader to oversee plant-wide security operations, asset protection, and incident response.

You will direct security teams, coordinate with external agencies, and safeguard people, property, and critical process flows. This role requires 10+ years in security management within manufacturing settings, plus budgeting skills and a proven track record of reducing risk through automation and strong partnerships with vendors and police

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in security management.
• Experience in plant, automotive, or manufacturing sectors.
• Strong coordination with external agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Budgeting and cost-control experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and oversees security actions throughout the Plant for major issues such as asset protection, theft, and emergency preparedness.
• Provides oversight and strategic direction to contract security providers to protect plant assets, information, employees, and visitors.
• Investigates major security breaches and advises on measures to prevent substantial losses.
• Conducts facility security audits per enterprise standards covering physical protection and safety systems.
• Develops and directs special protection measures for events, product launches, and dignitary visits.
• Maintains liaison with Police, private security, emergency services, and local leaders.
• Ensures secure logistics operations including inbound/outbound movement, warehouse security, and gate management.
• Plans budgets for security projects and focuses on cost minimisation.
• Drives automation for security processes to improve efficiency.
• Ensures zero defect in emergency preparedness and response.

Supervises, directs, and oversees security actions/duties/responsibilities throughout Plant and for units for major issues such as asset protection and recovery, labor disputes, criminal and ethical violations, workplace violence, theft, business continuity, crisis management, emergency preparedness, Product dispatches and external disturbance and others.

• Provides oversight and strategic direction to contract security providers to ensure their operations effectively and efficiently help protect Plant assets, proprietary information, employees, and visitors.
• Provides professional expertise in investigating major/complex security breaches often resulting in substantial business losses or threats to Organisational personnel, assets, or reputation.
• Conducts facility security audits in accordance with established enterprise security standards that address both physical protection best-practices and security-fire-life/safety systems.
• Develops, implements, and directs special protection measures for events, product launches/shows, and dignitary visits within his area of responsibility.
• Provides consultation and direction to units in developing and maintaining proper security standards, practices, and procedures.
• Maintains close liaison with Police and local Political leaders, private security sources and services, emergency service providers, and others.
• Ensure secure logistics operations, including inbound material movement, warehouse security, gate management, and outbound dispatch security.
• Prospective Budgets Planning for Security projects at Plant and utilisation of annual capex and focus on cost minimisation.
• Drive automation for security processes and to ensure efficiency and improvement in security processes.
• Ensure Zero Default in Emergency preparedness & response.
• Budgetting: Cost Control Measure. Resource reduction
